land-ho, let's go.

i still haven't really had time to reflect on what's happened the last couple of days. but in the meantime here are some pictures to see.

now, i understand people use the phrase "that's breath-taking" loosely. but these sites are literally breath-taking. it seemed like every time i looked up, i gasped for air because these landscapes were so gorgeous.

this is red rocks. the rock formation here is a natural amphitheater. a lot of bands play here.

there's a rainbow in the next picture. caused by the lens on my camera, but i thought it was fitting anyway.

i think this is one of my favorites. i can't get over how beautiful this is. and you have some crazy lunatics exercising here.

the next day we drove to the rocky mountain national forest. but to get there we drove through this canyon. everywhere you looked was beautiful. that was a really awesome ride. for the first half hour i was in a daze, until i realized i should be snapping some pictures.

this is at the actual national park. we packed lunch, and ate there. perfect.

and this is proof that i was actually there. it was too bright to see through the camera though. so, this is me waving my arms around for my aunt to have hint of motion to look for to make sure i was actually in the shot.

more-so than making me want to jump up and move there immediately, this trip has made me want to go explore everywhere else.

so, here we go.
